"See that's what people don't get about food. It's never the food, it's the love that goes into making it. That's what's important." - Sarah Strohmeyer
Welcome to Feeding My Love! (Emphasis on the "feeding.") Despite (or, perhaps, due to) growing up with a father who is a chef, I never caught the cooking bug. My college years were full of EasyMac and Trader Giotto's frozen pasta. I loved good food, though. I would blow my paychecks on the best Thai food in New Brunswick, or treat myself to a gourmet cupcake when I was in New York City. But, when it came to actually being in the kitchen, I wanted nothing to do with it.Then, Jesse happened.
Jesse and I have been together since the summer of 2012. My culinary life has never been the same. These days I don't even keep EasyMac in the house. When I'm hungry or packing my lunch, I just have to look in the fridge for one of Jesse's delicious, healthy, and easy to store meals. Although I'm keeping Jesse for myself, I'd like to share his recipes with you.
Here you will find recipes for fantastic food, most of which you can easily whip up for lunch or dinner. Jesse and I look for different things in a recipe. He wants to make sure that the food I'm eating is good for me. I want to make sure I don't have to wait more than a half hour for dinner. You will find a mix of these elements in our recipes. Most of the time, Jesse does the cooking. Every so often, I find myself in the kitchen as well. The reverse is true for this blog.
We want to share our creations with you. If you like it, let us know. If you change something, or if you have a recipe of your own, share it with us. We love trying new things.
Thanks for reading. You'll hear from us again real soon.
